Beef Barley Soup (Crazy Plates recipe)

Ingredients
1.5 lbs stewing beef1 cup each chopped carrots, celery, onion1 cup tomato sauce7 cups water1 beef boullion cube1 tbsp oil1.75 tsp marjoram1 tsp thyme
Directions
Brown beef in oil. Add carrots, celery and onion; cook for 5 min on med-high. Lower temp to med-low, add remaining ingredients. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer for 1 to 1.5 hours. Makes 6 servings.
