Kielbasa with Penne Pasta

Ingredients
1 lb. Kielbasa, 1" slices (use low sodium if available)1 med. green bell pepper, sliced, or rings1 med. onion, sliced, or rings2 C penne rigate pasta, uncooked1 can 99% fat free chicken brothHouse Seasoning (recipe follows)Salt & pepper
Directions
In large saute pan, lightly saute kilebasa in olive oil. Add broth and pasta. Cook on medium high about 15 minutes, until pasta has softened, but still firm, and broth has cooked down. stirring occasionally.

Slice pepper and onion; sprinkle with salt & pepper and toss for even coverage. Add to kielbasa & pasta mixture for the last 5 minutes. Season lightly with House Seasoning. Mix well and serve with side salad, if desired.


DEE'S HOUSE SEASONING

In large container, or zippered bag, mix the following:

1 Cup Salt
1/2 Cup Black Pepper
1/2 Cup Onion Powder
1/2 Cup Garlic Powder

Mix well and transfer to small shaker jar.

    I did the same thing that TERIJH did and left out the salt. I agree that the broth has plenty. My husband and I both like this a lot. It's a great combination of flavors. Since we both like our food spicy, I added a bit of red pepper flakes. I will definitely make this one again! - 7/10/18

    This was good. I left out the house seasoning and the salt - the broth had enough sodium. I added mushrooms and an extra onion and sauteed 4 cloves of garlic at the end of cooking the kielbasa. - 5/28/13
