Bran Turkey Burgers

Ingredients
1.30 lbs ground 93% lean turkey1 cup wheat bran1/4 cup bread crumbs1 tbsp black pepper1 tsp salt1/8 cup cornstarch2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
Directions
Mix ground turkey with all ingredients, thoroughly mixing wheat bran and dry ingredients into ground meat.
Shape into 4 patties, which will be approximately 1/3 lb each. Place between sheets of wax paper until ready to grill.
Grill on medium grill for about 10-15 minutes, turning once, taking care not to burn but cooking through and through. Juices should be clear when pressed to grill.
Serve on whole wheat buns and your favorite burger toppings.

    I eliminated the cornstarch and bread crumbs and couldn't find my worsteshire, so I used hot and spicy shitake mushroom sauce instead. It was yummy! I served on one slice of toasted Ezekiel Bread and a side of sweet potatoe fries cooked in the oven. - 5/8/07
