Renee's Spaghetti sauce (slow cooker)

Ground Beef (500g), Ground Pork (700g), 1 onion3 to 5 cloves of garlic2 cans of tomatoes diced (puree them for better sauce consistency)tomato paste one can2 V8s (individual cans, you only add to make enough liquid, may be less than 2 cans)Dry herbs (about a tablespoon of each): Oregano, Thyme, Parsley, Basil 2 bay leaves (remember to remove when done)2 tablespoon of oil
Cook the onion in 2 tablespoon of oil, when cooked, add garlic, cook for another 30 seconds. Add the pork and beef, cook well. Once done, put in strainer and let sit to drain excess fat. Meanwhile, puree the tomatoes, put in slow cooker with tomato paste, V8s, herbs. Once meat adequately drain add to sauce. Cook on slow cooker for 6-8 hours slow or 4 to 5 high. Add salt and pepper to taste. Also for a spicier sauce add pepper flakes.
