Fruit and Cheese-Stuffed French Toast

Ingredients
2 tbls light cream cheese4 slices whole wheat bread2 tbls strawberry or raspbery fat-free/sugar free jelly1 large egg2 egg whites3 tbls fat-free milk1 tsp vanilla extract1/2 tsp cinnamon pinch nutmeg1 cup sliced strawberries
Directions
Spread the cream cheese evenly on 2 slices of bread, leaving small border. Spread the jelly on the remaining slices of bread also leaving a border. Put the slices of bread together to make 2 sandwiches, cut into diagonals, set aside.

Beat the egg and egg whites in shallow dish whisk in milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add 2 sandwiches to mixture, let stand until evenly soaked about 10 seconds on each side. Repeat with remaining sandwiches.

Spray large nonstick skillet with nostick spray and set stove over medium heat. Add sandwiches to skillet and cook until browned, 2-3 minutes on each side. Serve with Berries.

Note: Serving is 2 sandwich halves and 1/2 cup of strawberries. 331 Calories per serving
