Beans n Ham Soup

Ingredients
Ham, extra lean, (5% fat), 1.5 cup, diced Beans, great northern, 4 cup Onions, raw, chopped 1 small Carrots, raw, chopped 2 medium Butter, salted, 2 tbsp Water, tap, 2.25 cup (8 fl oz) Salt, 1/2 tsp *Pepper, white, 1/8 tsp Bay Leaf, 1
Directions
Saute onion and carrots in butter. Smash 1 can of beans. Add beans and remaining ingredients to sauted vegetables. Cook over medium heat until heated through. Discard bay leaf.
