I used this recipe, but modified the amounts quite a bit. I took an 8 oz chicken breast, painted it with 2 Tbsp of the Jack Daniels BBQ sauce, put 3 pieces of the turkey bacon on top, and 1/4 cup Fat free cheddar. This makes 2 servings for me. It is still fantastic, without as many calories! - 6/26/10

Wowza!! Delicious! Only change we'd do,(recommended by my 17yr old) is put bacon on chicken first, then cheese. The melted cheese would help hold the bacon onto the chicken (our came off while cutting it). We also cooked the bacon for less time, that worked well for us. My kids loved this! - 1/23/10

This concept is so easy, but some of us have to alter it for medical purposes. Diabetes, high BP, cholesterol, asthma, would prompt me to switch the bbq sauce, reduce the cheese, but it would be worth it! This would be great over brown rice or even ON A BED OF SALAD MIXTURE!! Thank you!! - 11/8/09

This was delicious! I modified it slightly. I grilled the chicken on a gas grill and basted with bbq sauce. When the chicken was about done I sprinkled cheese on top then took 2 slices uncooked turkey bacon and wrapped the chicken/cheese mix in the bacon and finished grilling. Any grease is gone. - 4/22/10

I can't WAIT to try this!! It sounds mouthwatering. Too bad I already have chickens in the rotisserie or I'd make it this very night!! (Don't mind folks whose criticisms are not constructive. You've done us Sparkers a great service by sharing this recipe!) - 11/3/09

I used very little BBQ sauce since it is so high in sodium. That makes the dish not healthy enough for most diets.
    Very tasty entree! - 11/3/09

I grilled the chicken, melted the cheese on top, cooked the bacon seperately, and added it to the chicken using only about 3 TB BBQ sauce. I made the 6 servings and only used 1/3 a bottle of sauce. A whole bottle? No way! I had no idea turkey bacon was that tasty! We'll definitely have this again. - 3/27/10

Will make this again. I am going to try home made barbeque sauce next time to cut down on the sodium. - 11/8/09

Looks simple enough, but I just don't like the texture or flavor of turkey bacon. - 11/4/09

My family and I love this recipe & will prepare this regularly! I did tweek it a bit, we sprinkled the chicken with Mrs. Dash and baked it for 30 mins on 450. I then added minimal sweet baby rays bbq. I cooked bacon for 10 mins on 450, wrapped chicken in bacon and added cheese and melted it! Thx! - 2/16/10

I am adding this recipe to one of my cookbooks. I will also bake the chicken... it's just easier! Tureky bacon on my grill and will measure out my BBQ sauce. I will probably use Sweet Baby Rays... I am sooo glad other Sparkers are more creative than I am.. makes making dinner more fun! - 2/16/10

Tastes great. Used regular bacon without a problem (just reduce the oven time to 10 min). - 2/1/10

This was a great hit last night with my family and trust me I have 3 VERY picky eaters. I did add some garlic and herb Mrs Dash to the chicken and instead of Jack Daniels BBQ sauce I used Sweet Baby Ray's This was so good. I server it with cheesy broccoli rice and salad. I will make this again - 2/15/10

We all loved it. Served with brown rice and fresh baby spinach leaves, it was sublime. Now I just have to work on making it LOOK better. - 1/17/10

This reminds me of a dish I love from Chili's...I always miss the smoky flavor the restaurants have, so I think I'll look for some grilled chicken in the freezer section...maybe even use fajita strips or whatever I can find...the rest can stay the same and I get to control the calories! Hurrah!! - 11/3/09

Used MR. Stubbs sugar-free BBQ sauce, and followed the recommendation to put the turkey bacon on, THEN the cheese -- brilliant suggestion. Delicious dish. - 10/25/20
