Sweet Pork Patties

1 lb. ground pork1 medium potato1 small apple1 small onion1tsp. salt1 tsp. pepper1tsp. sage, groundIf desired, also include a second small apple and 16 sage leaves for garnish. These are not figured in nutritional information.
Peel potato, chop and boil or steam until soft. Mash potato.
Grate (fine) apple and onion.
Mix salt, pepper, sage, apple, onion, and potato into ground pork.
Form into eight patties and fry in oil.
If desired, in a separate pan fry additional apple (cored and quartered) in a small amount of oil until softened. Fry sage leaves until crispy. Use two sage leaves and apple slices to garnish patties.
