Ingredients
12 oz lean ground beef1/2c chopped onion3 c chopped cabbage13 oz can Hunt's Tomatoes w/garlic & onion8 oz can tomato sauce1/4 tsp black pepper2/3 c brown rice, cooked
Directions
cook brown rice in 2 c water.
Saute ground beef, onion and cabbage until lightly browned.
Add tomatoes, tomato sauce and pepper.
Simmer until cabbage is cooked and sauce thickens, approximately 20 minutes.
Serve ground beef and cabbage over rice.
Makes 4 servings, approximately 1 1/2 c beef mixture over 1/2c rice.

    I have made this for years. I just chop the cabbage and layer cabbage, rice, meat and sauce lasgane style. Pour the tomato sauce on top. I use tomato soup and litte ketchup. Salt and pepper. Cover and pop into oven for 1 - 1 1/2 hrs in 350 oven. Mom calls it Lazy Man's Cabbage Rolls. - 9/24/07
