Ginger Bread

Ingredients
1 c. fancy molasses 1/3 c. hard margarine1/4 c. granulated sugar2/3 c. evaporated milk1 egg2 c. white flour1 1/2 tsp. baking soda1 1/2 tsp. ground ginger1 tsp. cinnamon1/2 tsp. allspice1/2 tsp. saltDusting icing sugar for serving is optional, and not included in the nutritional information.
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350F and grease a 9 inch square pan.

Put the molasses, margarine and sugar in a saucepan, and heat to melt the margarine. Pour into a bowl to cool slightly, then beat in the milk and egg.

Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl, and add to molasses mixture. Mix until well blended.

Pour into pan and bake 35-40 minutes. Cool in pan.
