Beef Stir Fry

Ingredients

1 lb flank, skirt, or round steak2 tbsp soy sauce1 tbsp corn starch3 tbsp EVOO1 tbsp chopped garlic1 tbsp chopped ginger root2 cups fresh broccoli1.5 cups shredded cabbage2 tbsp oyster sauce1 tsp granulated sugar4 spring (green) onions or what ever kind preferred1/2 tsp red chili flakes
1. Place the steak in the freezer for 30-40 minutes or until a little firm then slice thinly on the diagonal into strips.
2. Mix together the soy sauce and corn flour in a bowl. Add the steak and marinate on the counter for about an hour .
3. Heat half the oil in a wok or large heavy frying pan. Add the garlic and ginger and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Drain the steak and add to the pan. Stir well to seperate the strips. Cook, stirring frequently, for a further 1-2 minutes until the steak is browned all over and tender. Remove from pan and set aside.
4. Heat the remaining oil in the pan and add the chili flakes. Add the veggies and stir fry for a couple minutes until almost the desired texture. (per your preferences).
5. Return the steak to the pan and mix with the veggies. Add the oyster sauce and sugar, mix well. Enjoy!
Serve with brown rice (not included in nutrient count).
