Low-Calorie Holiday Stuffing

Ingredients
8 slices (about 7.5 cups) Alpine Valley Bread - dried and cubed1 1/2 cups diced onion1 1/2 cups diced celery1 cup diced apple (with skin)1 shallot (about 4 tablespoons) thinly sliced1/4 cup dried cranberries (Crasins)1 1/2 cups chicken stock/broth2 Morning Star sausage patties (heated and chopped)1/4 cup pecans (toasted and chopped)1/2 tsp black pepper1 tsp garlic powder1 tsp sage2 tsp basil2 tsp rosemary2 tsp thyme1 tsp salt
Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Preheat large sauce pan (med heat) to use on stove top. Add 1/2 cup of chicken broth onion, celery, shallots, apple, and spices. Cook until onions are clear and apple and celery are tender. Add 1/2 cup broth and cranberries and stir. Add bread cubes, sausage crumbles, last 1/2 cup broth, and pecans. Mix ingredients. Place in glass baking dish and put into oven. Cook for about 15 minutes. Number of servings- 8
