7 cups peeled and sliced apples1/2 cup brown sugar3/4 cup splenda1/4 cup all purpose flour1/2 tsp ground nutmeg1/2 tsp cinnamon
Preheat oven to 425F. Prepare pastry and pre-bake the crust.
In a large bowl mix the apples with all other ingredients. Turn into pastry lined pie plate. Cover with top crust that has slits cut into it. Cover edge with 3 inches of aluminum foil to protect it from burning. Remove foil during last 15 minutes of baking. Bake until crust is brown and juice begins to bubble through slits in crust, 40-50 minutes.
Makes 8 servings.
