Saltine Toffee

Ingredients
1 cup dark brown sugar, packed1 cup butter1 sleeve saltines (4 oz)2 cups chocolate chips
Directions
Lay saltines in a single layer on a cookie sheet. Melt butter in a saucepan and add sugar. Boil about 3 minutes. Pour mixture over saltines and spread evenly. Bake at 350 for about 5 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes. Spread chocolate over toffee, let melt a little, and spread evenly. If desired, top with chopped nuts (not included in nutrition info). Cool completely and break into pieces.

    Just made this and have to say that it's really good! It's possible to use a half sheet pan with more saltines but just spread the butter/brown sugar mixture thinner along with the chocolate chips. - 12/14/14
