Ingredients
2 pears, cut in half and with cores removed2 tbsp cinnamon, divided.25 cup apple juice (optional)1 cup nonfat Greek yogurt, plain (or other plain yogurt)1-2 Tbsp honey (or can substitute splenda).25 cups chopped walnuts.5 tsp ground cloves.5 tsp ground nutmeg1 oz. crystallized ginger (optional)
Directions
Place halved, cored pears in a baking dish. Sprinkle with 1 tbsp of the cinnamon and splash on the apple juice. Broil with the cut side up for 4 minutes, then flip and broil for another 4 minutes, or until tender (this may take longer depending on the ripeness of the pears).

While the pears are broiling, mix the yogurt with the honey or splenda.

Take pears out of the oven and arrange on plates, cut side up (2 halves per person for breakfast, or 1 half per person for an elegant dessert). Spoon yogurt mixture into hollows of pears and around them on the dish. Sprinkle with chopped walnuts, and then the rest of the spices, and add the crystallized ginger if you like. Serve immediately so that the pears are warm and the yogurt is still cold.
