Simple Pinto Beans

Ingredients
2 cups dry pinto beans2 teaspoons olive oil2 onions, diced1/2 teaspoon ground cumin1/2 teaspoon dry sage1/4 teaspoon black pepper2 teaspoons salt
Directions
Soak beans overnight.

Drain, cover with fresh water by 1 inch, bring to a boil, lower heat, cover, simmer until tender, 1-2 hours.

Heat oil in a cast iron skillet and saute onion until tender. Add to beans.

When beans are tender add spices and salt. Cover partially and boil off water until of desired consistency.
