Oat Meal Mincemeat Bars

2 cups of dry minute Oats1 & 3/4 cups of white flour1 packed cup of brown sugar1/2 t Baking Soda1 package of condensed mincemeat1 cup of butter or shortening.
Crumble apart the mincemeat in a medium pan and add 1 & 1/2 cup water...bring to a boil for about 1 minute. Set aside.
Chop the rolled minute oats in a food processor just a little. Put in a medium size bowl with flour, brown sugar, baking soda and mix carefully. Add 1 cup soft butter to the dry mixture and cut in until half of the mixture can be kind of packed in the 8x12 greased pan. Then add all the mincemeat mixture on top of the oat mixture and smooth out. Layer on the other half of the oat mixture on top of the mincemeat. Smooth out and bake at 350* for 40 minutes. This make 18 bars (268 calories per bar)
