Falafels

Ingredients
2 cups garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained1 small onion, finely chopped2 cloves garlic, minced1 1/2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro1 teaspoon dried parsley2 teaspoons ground cumin1/8 teaspoon ground turmeric1/2 teaspoon baking powder1/2 teaspoon salt1 egg (or two egg whites)
Directions
Drain and rinse garbanzo beans.
Place in food processor to puree.
Add rest of ingredients.
Place in refrigerator for 10 min to stiffen batter.
Warm oven to 350.
Use tablespoon to drop batter on plan.
Place batter aprox an inch apart.
Bake until golden brown.

NOTE: To make real falafel balls you can add and mix 1 cup of either bread crumbs, or flour.
Place in fry pan with oil and brown on all sides.

1 tbs makes 1 falafel which equals 1 serving.
