Creamy Tomato Basil Soup

1 medium onion, finely chopped2 Tablespoons unsalted butter2 cans (141/2 oz.) diced tomatos,undrained2 cans tomato soup (condensed and 25% less sodium)1 ½ cups milk (2%)1 tsp. sugar1 tsp. dried basil1 tsp.paprika1 tsp. garlic powder8 oz. Sour Cream (in tub - I use Trim and Lite Sour Cream)
In soup pan, saute onion in butter until tender. Stir in spices. Stir in tomatos, soup and milk. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Stir in sour cream. Serve immediately. Makes 2 quarts or 8 servings.
