DMC's light Stuffing (1/2 cup = serving) kec

Ingredients
2 lbs Jimmy Dean reduced fat pork sausage2 small loaves (or 1 large loaf) white stuffing bread2 medium apples, peeled and diced2 medium onions, diced5 celery stalks, dicedsalt and pepper to taste
Directions
In a large saute pan, brown the sausage.

Add the diced onion and celery and continue to saute for a few minutes. In a large bowl, rip the bread into small pieces (approximately 1 inch size) and add the peeled, diced apples.

Next add the sausage, onions, and celery to the contents of the bowl, and mix well.

Stuff this mixture inside your turkey immediately and roast until the turkey reaches the proper cooking temperature and a thermometer inserted into the center of the stuffing, also reaches at least 170'F.
This recipe yields approximately 16 (1/2 cup) servings.
