2 15oz cans black beans, rinsed, drained2/3 cup chopped red onion1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs4 tbsp chunky salsa2 tsp ground cumin2 tsp cayenne pepper (or more to taste)1 tsp hot sauceVegetable oil spray
1.) preheat broiler (you can also use a grill if desired).
2.) mash the black beans in a large bowl with a potato masher or a fork.
3.) mix in onion, breadcrumbs, salsa, cumin, cayenne and hot sauce.
4.) shape bean mixture into 6 patties and place on a lightly oiled pan (if broiling).
5.) broil/grill burgers until heated through, about 3 minutes per side.
6.) throw burgers on some buns and top with your fixin's or freeze for a later time.
