Italian Beef and Lentil Slow-Cooker Stew

Ingredients
1 small onion1 medium garlic clove minced1 large zucchini diced1 pound leand beef found cut into 1 inch chunks1/2 tsp dried oregano, crushed14 1/2 oz canned diced tomatoes, undrained1 Tbsp canned tomato paste3/4 cups dry lentils4 cups canned beef broth1 tsp salt1/4 tsp black pepper1/4 cups basil, fesh, slivered
Directions
Place all ingredients, except basil in a 5 quart or larger slow cooker; stir well. Cook on LOW setting for 6 - 7 hours.

Remove cover; stir in basil. Cover and cook on LOW setting for 5 minutes more. Yields abut 1 1/2 cups per serving.
