Ingredients
For Bread:2 3/4 C All Purpose Flour1 C Water1 Packet Active Dry Yeast1 tsp Salt1 tsp Sugar1 tsp Garlic Powder2 tsp Minced Garlic1 tbsp Italian Seasoning1/2 tsp Basil1 tsp Rosemary1/2 tsp Ground Black PepperFor Bread Topping:Minced GarlicRosemaryKosher Salt (any large grain salt will do)Grated Parmesan Cheese
Directions
Preheat oven to 450 Degrees F.

In a large bowl, mix the dry bread ingredients and minced garlic. Use warm water in the bread, and slowly mix in the active dry yeast. Allow the yeast five minutes or so to fully activate. When you have done this, mix it in to the dry ingredients. (Don't be afraid to mix with your hands! For me this is the best part of bread making...)

Once the dough is formed into a ball, pour a little bit of oil around the outside of the bread, just enough to coat so that the dough does not stick while it rises. Dampen a kitchen towel with warm water and cover bread, leaving it in a warm place for 30 minutes to rise. (I usually leave mine right on the stove top to rise while the oven preheats.)

On a nonstick cookie sheet, flatten the dough out so it is approximately 1/2 inch thick and as close to rectangular as you can manage. At this point, use the Bread Toppings to your liking. I usually sprinkle about two teaspoons of minced garlic over the top, followed by a light sprinkling of salt, rosemary, and the grated Parmesan, but feel free to get creative.

Bake bread for 15 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning.

Makes approximately 12 slices. Best served warm with a pat of butter.
