  • Number of Servings: 2
Ingredients
1.5 cups of liquid (I usually do 1 cup of water and 1/2 cup of low fat yogurt; but you could also do coconut milk, soy milk, orange juice, etc.)3 large handfuls of fresh baby spinach1 cup of frozen strawberries 2 Tbsps. agava nectar (you can also use honey)
Directions
Unless you have one of those super-blenders (Vita-Mix,etc.), blend the spinach with the liquids first. Once thoroughly blended, add the strawberries and agava nectar. Blend well and serve. Makes two 12 oz. servings.

Looks terrible but tastes pretty good! I used light almond milk and peach yogurt. Sweetener wasn't necessary. - 6/26/14

It really isn't bad. I used strawberry banana yogurt, cocnut milk and mixed frozen fruit, no sweetener was needed. It looked like pea soup, but sure was tasty. - 6/23/14

Husband and I just tried this smoothie and we both thought it was incredible. It was so easy to make. I will make this again to have for late night snacking. I hope this will help in stopping late night bingeing. I really feel satisfied. Thanks for an incredible smoothie!!! - 11/22/13

Delish. I added vanilla protein powder and used cantaloupe for a natural sweetener. Overall, tons of spinach, ice cubes, orange juice, cantaloupes, and a few fresh strawberries. - 8/12/13

this is my first smoothie ever and it's soo good!I can definitely smell the spinach but the taste isn't overpowering or bitter. I used apple juice for my liquid and a packet of splenda to sweeten! - 3/6/13

Tried this several ways already! Used frozen strawberries and also frozen peaches.I prefer using milk, it's less tart. I used Dannon light strawberry yogurt- going to try with vanilla! Also tried with Greek yogurt-ick! Great breakfast-filling! Can't taste the spinach at all! - 7/25/12

I LOVE this smoothie! I used 1% low fat vanilla yogurt, spinach leaves, honey, cran-grape juice, and frozen strawberries. Awesome! I dig this smoothie so much that I shared it on my facebook wall and my weight loss support group. - 7/19/12

I also added some frozen blackcurrants, the colour was a little bit off putting, but it tasted great,i will definately be making it again. - 4/11/11

This is a really yummy smoothy... i used 1/2 c. of almond milk, which i made, instead of the low-fat yogurt, was really good! - 4/7/11

I usually make a variation of this, adding more berries, soy protein shake powder and almond milk. (this will up ur calories) Sometimes, if I have some on hand I throw in some chopped parsley as well. Lots of protein to keep me from snacking on the wrong foods mid-morning! Thanks for the recipe! - 8/29/10
