Homemade Poptarts

Ingredients
3/4 c. shortening3/4 c. sugar3 eggs1 3/4 c, whole wheat flour2 c. white flour3 Tblsp. baking powderpreservesfruit
Directions
Cream together shortening and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. add flour and baking powder. Mix until soft dough. Put in the fridge for 1 hour. Meanwhile, mix together preserves and fruit (puree fruit). Pull dough out and let set 10 minutes. Roll into rectangles. Add preserves to middle and fold over. (To make folding easier brush a little water on each side of the dough.) Cook for 20 minutes in 350 oven.
May put icing on if desired.
