Date Oatmeal Cake

Ingredients
1/2 cup whole wheat flour2 cups quick oats1 cup boiling water1/4 cup Splenda brown sugar1 3/4 cups chopped dates1/2 cup chopped walnuts1 tsp each of cinnamon, cloves & baking soda111 g X2 containers of Motts unsweetened applesauce
Directions
Boil water and pour over 2 cups quick cooking oats. Mix in one 111 g. container of applesauce. Add Splenda brown sugar. Mix well. Add second container of applesauce. Stir in dates and walnuts. Mix cinnamon, cloves and baking soda into 1/2 cup whole wheat flour. Stir into oat mixtures. Spread into 8 x 8 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Cool. Cut into 12-2 inch squares. Wrap in cello wrap and freeze. On the way out the door to go golfing, grab one out of the freezer. Makes an excellent healthy snack.
