5-Spice Slow Cooker Oatmeal

Ingredients
2 cups Irish-style (steel cut) oats8 cups water1/4 cup raisins (or more, if you want)1 Tbl. Chinese 5-spice powder1/2 tsp. sea salt
Directions
Put everything but the salt in a slow cooker or crockpot and cook overnight (6-8 hours) on low. Stir in salt (adding salt early keeps the starch in the oatmeal from hydrating and gelling properly). Serve hot with soy milk or yogurt
