cherry scones

Ingredients
60g stork margarine240g self raising flour2 tsp baking owder2 tblsp caster sugar1 medium egg lightly beaten100ml semi skimmed milk100g glace cherries
Directions
pre heat oven to 230c /gas mark 8.
place flour and baking powder in a bowl with margarine, rib till resembles bread crumbs.
stir in sugar.
blend in egg and milk to form a soft dough,add cherries and mix.
turn out onto a lightly floured surface and roll out to about an inch thick. cut into 2 inch round.
place on a lightly grease baking sheet and cook in centre of oven for 8-10 minsor until golden.cool on rack. store in an air tight tin.
