Slow cooker Navy Bean Soup

Ingredients
1 lb. dry navy beans 1 lb. extra lean ham, cut in small pieces2 tsp salt1/4 tsp ground pepper1/2 c. chopped celery2 qts. water1 medium onion, chopped1 bay leaf
Directions
1. Soak beans overnight. Drain, discarding soaking water.
2. Combine all ingredients in slow cooker.
3. Cover. Cook on high 8-9 hours.
4. Take out about 1 1/2 cups of the soup and puree in the blender. Return puree to soup to give a creamy texture.
