Banana Butterscotch Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 c white flour1 c wheat flour1/4 c wheat germ1/4 c ground flaxseed2 tsp baking powder1/2 tsp salt1/4 tsp baking soda1 c white sugar2/3 c shortening2 eggs1 tsp vanilla1 c mashed bananas1 c semisweet chocolate chips1 c butterscotch chips
1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Grease cookie sheets.
2. Sift flours, wheat germ, flaxseed, baking powder, salt, and baking soda together. Set aside.
3. Cream shortening with sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Mix in bananas. Add flour mixture, stirring just until combined. Stir in chips. Drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheets.
4. Bake in preheated oven for 8-10 minutes.
Yields 4 dozen cookies.
