Ingredients
1 cup toor dal or lantils1 cup ricepinch of cumin seeds1 onion1 plum tomato3 cloves of garlic1"ginger2-3 green chilliesgaram masalared chilli powdertumeric salt to taste
Directions
wash and soak both toor dal and rice together in cold water. chop onions, garlic, green chillies, tomatoes, and ginger. put 3 tbs. of olive oil,cumin seeds (let it cook for few seconds) than add the above chopped ingredients..... cook till they are done than add 2tbs.red chilli powder,2tbs garam masal,1tsp tumaric powderand salt to taste. now add the frozen veg and let it cook for few minutes till the veg. are tender than add the lentils and rice to it and add water for the rice to be done... cover and let it cook on medium flame for 20 min. or till its done. total time is about 45min... if u have pressure cooker u may take less time... just do as above and add rice-dal at the end and add water than cover presser cooker and cook for two whistles....
