Ingredients
DRESSING1/2 cup chicken broth1/3 cup hoisin sauce2 TBSP reduced-sodium soy sauce2 TBSP seasoned rice vinegar1 TBSP toasted sesame oil1 TBSP grated ginger root2 tsp grated orange peel1 tsp minced garlic1/4 tsp each salt, ground pepper, & crushed red pepper flakesSALAD8 oz (227 g) uncooked whole wheat spaghetti1 lb (454 g) sirloin steak, grilled & cut into strips2 cups small broccoli florets1 cup thnly sliced red bell pepper1 cup peeled, seeded & diced cucumber1 cup grated carrots1 cup frozen green peas, thawed1/2 cup chopped green onions1/3 cup chopped fresh basil leaves
Directions
1, Whisk together all dressing ingredients in a small boel & refrigerate unit ready to use.
2. Cook spaghetti
3. Drain, rinse well with cold water & drain again
4. Transfer spaghetti to a large salad bow & toss with remaining ingredients
5. Addd dressing just before serving & toss again.
6. Makes 4 dinner sized servings or 6 lunch size servings
