Italian Goulash

12oz ground lean sirloin (90/10)14oz Barilla Pipette pasta (or elbows)3/4c chopped red pepper3/4c chopped green pepper3/4c fresh mushroom pieces2 cans diced Italian tomatoes1 can tomato paste3c shredded mozerella cheese
makes 8 servings
Brown ground sirloin in large skillet.
Drain all fat from sirloin and pat with paper towels to soak up oil
Put ground sirloin back in skillet
Add green pepper, red pepper, and mushrooms to skillet
Saute together for about 5 minutes on medium
Add 2 cans diced tomatoes (drain juice from one of the cans and throw away)
Add tomato paste
Cover and let simmer for about 10 minutes
Meanwhile, bring large pot of water to boil
Boil pasta per directions
Drain pasta once cooked
Put sauce in large pot with drained pasta and mix well
Put goulash in 13x9 pan
Top with shredded cheese
Bake at 375 about 15 min or until cheese is melted and browned on the edges
