Mini Penne with Broccoli Rabe & Sausage

12 oz mini penne6 links of pork sausage removed from casing2 bunches of broccoli rabe ends trimed and cut in 1 in. wide strips3 tbsp of grated parmesan cheese1 tsp saltdash of pepper
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta
4 minutes before pasta is cooked add broccoli rabe. Scoop out 1 cup of pasta water and save. Drain pasta and brocolli rabe and return to the pot over low heat. In a large nonstick skillet over medium heat add sausage and cook while breaking up with a wooden spoon about 5 to 7 minutes until browned. Add cup of saved water and cook 1 minute stirring up the bits on the bottom. Add pasta, broccoli rabb, salt and pepper into skillet and stir over heat about 1 minute. Put into serving platter and sprinkle with grated cheese. Enjoy!!!
