Apple Breakfast Bars

1 1/2 cups old fashioned rolled oats1/4 cup whole wheat flour2/3 cup raisins1/2 cup walnuts, chopped1/2 teaspoon table salt2 tsp lemon juice1/3 cup water1/8 cup wheat bran1/8 cup apple sauce1 1/2 cup raw apples, shredded1/2 tsp light margarine (for greasing dish)
Combine all ingredients. Let stand 10 minutes. Press into 8x8 greased baking dish.
Bake at 375F until lightly browned, about 35 minutes.
Loosen with spatula. Cut into bars while warm. Serve hot for breakfast.
