Vegan "Cheddar Cheese" Spread

1 cup cashew nuts375 grams firm tofu - (drain as much of the moisture out as you can using a clean kitchen towel)1 cup nutritional yeast flakes1 1/2 medium onion1/4 cup vegan butter (or buttery tasting margarine!)2 tsp salt1 tsp brown sugar1 1/2 tsp garlic powder3/4 tsp cumin powder1 tsp dried onion flakes1 Tablespoon paprika1 tsp tumeric powder1 Tablespoon Liquid Smoke1 Tablespoon lemon juice1 Tablespoon olive oil
In a food processor, crush the nuts to a fine powder, then add the onion, then the tofu, then all the rest. Blend well. When you first make it, it will taste very strong, but after a few hours in the fridge the flavor mellows a lot.
