Broccoli Cheddar Soup

( )= doubled(4) 2 cups chicken broth or bouillon (2) 1 lb. Bag of frozen broccoli florets (or cuts)(½) ¼ cup chopped onion or ½ tsp. onion powder(½) ¼ tsp. seasoned salt(½) ¼ tsp. garlic powder(½) ¼ tsp. dried parsley(½) ¼ cup butter or 2 T butter + 2 T Canola Oil(½) ¼ cup cornstarch (4) 2 cups cold milk(4) 2 TBS. powdered coffee creamer (optional)(3) 1 ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
• Bring chicken broth to a boil in a 5 qt. pan on the stove. Add the broccoli, chopped onion, salt, garlic and parsley. Cover and reduce heat to medium for 10 minutes.
• Check the broccoli to see if it is the texture you prefer.
• Combine the milk & cornstarch and add to the broccoli mixture and stir gently until thickened.
• Lastly, stir in the creamer and the cheese.
