Ingredients
Urad dal (3 cups) Idly rawa (6) cups
Directions
Soak the Udad dal ( available in Indian stores) in water for 2-3hrs appox. and when it is soaked grind it into soft batter in a blender and then mix the Idly rawa and add 1/2 tbl sp salt and add around 1 cup of water to dilute it and then spoon it in to the Idly plates and steam cook them in the idly cooker for 10 minutes and wait for 5 min and then take them out to be served. Makes 36 idlies.
