Maple-Glazed Tofu

Ingredients
1 pkg tofu3 cloves garlic3 tbsp olive oil3 tbsp maple syrup5 tbsp soy sauce
Directions
drain tofu and cut into eight slabs. pat dry.
in a bowl, whisk together all other ingredients (garlic, oil, soy sauce, syrup)
set tofu on frying pan in one layer (important! not two layers!)
add sauce.
Cook with a lid on for about 4-5 minutes,
then cook with lid off for about another 5 minutes-
but if it starts to smell burned-ish, turn off stove.
serve w/ sauce drizzled all over!
makes 8 slabs of tofu.

    I served it with carrots and I liked the taste but I found it a little too watery and the soy sauce overwhelmed the maple flavour. I would reduce the soy sauce and the oil significantly next time so that it was thicker as a sauce and so the maple stood out more. - 6/8/10
