3/4 Cup Water1 Tbsp. Butter1 1/2 cups Bread Flour2/3 cup Rye Flour3/4/ tsp. Salt1 Tbsp. Brown Sugar, packed1 Tbsp. Molasses1 Tbsp. Unsweetened Cocoa Powder1 tsp. Whole Caraway Seeds1 1/2 tsp. Bread Machine Yeast
Have liquid ingredients at 80 degrees F. and all others at room temp. Place into the pan in the order listed. Select a basic cycle and medium/normal crust. Check dough consistency after 5 minutes of kneading. The dough should be in a soft, tacky ball. If it is dry and stiff, add water, 1/2 to a tablespoon at a time. If it is too wet and sticky, add 1 Tbsp. of flour at a time. Remove bread when cycle is finished; cool. Makes 8 slices. This is the Small loaf recipe.
