Crock Pot Lentil Soup

  • Number of Servings: 6
Ingredients
1 bag dried lentils1 cup chopped carrots1 cup diced onions1 TB mushroom base(better than bouillon)1 TB vegetable base(better than bouillon)2 Qt. water
Directions
1. cook in crock pot on high for 6 hours or until lentils are soft
2. stir once halfway through if possible but not necessary

*can cook on low all day if working
*can add 1/2 to 1 teas. crushed red pepper initially if spicy is desired
*caloric values for 6 servings

    i made a few adjustments: mixed vegetables, vegetable broth, tomatoes and some seasonings. very good, definitely make it again. I need a bigger crockpot, though. - 12/31/10
