3 cloves of garlic, peeled2 medium carrots, chopped1 10 oz. package white button mushrooms1 large onion, chopped1/2 tsp. dried thyme, (add more if you like)1 TBS dried parsley1 pound lean ground turkey3/4 tsp saltdash pepper2 C water1 - 14 oz can reduced sodium beef broth8 oz Dreamfields elbow macaroni2 TBS worcestershire sauce2 TBS flour1/2 C reduced fat sour cream
In a food processor add garlic carrots and mushrooms. Process until finely chopped. Add onion and pulse until roughly chopped. Cook turkey in a skillet until no longer pink, about 3-5 minutes. Add vegetables, thyme, salt and pepper and cook 5-7 minutes, stirring often. Stir in water, 11/2 C broth, noodles, and worcestershire sauce. Cover and reduce heat to medium and cook 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. In a bowl, whisk flour and remaining 1/4 C broth together, and add to skillet along with sour cream. Cook until thickened about 2 minutes. Sprinkle with fresh parsley or chives. Makes 6 servings at about 1 1/3 C each.
