Ingredients
Directions
1/4 cup Canola Oil (Recipe is calculated with Olive but calorie information is the same)1 Can Home-style Biscuits (Generic tend to have lower calories) 1/4 cup of Powdered Sugar (You'll use less if you sift it)
Pour oil in a small pan and preheat. While oil is heating, take the biscuits and carefully tear small holes in them, flatten them, and slightly stretch them (the more your flatten, the more they'll stretch).
Once oil is hot, place biscuits in pan, biscuits will sizzle. Let sizzle for about 20 seconds (or golden brown) and flip over to cook the other side.
Remove from pan and place in a single layer on a plate or serving platter, etc, and sift some powdered sugar over them all. You won't need a lot of sugar, so go easy.
A serving consists of 2 doughnuts and this recipe will make 5 servings.
