This was wonderful! I used a cup of tomato sauce instead of ketchup and cooking spray instead of the oil. it reduced the fat from 17 to almost 4.otherwise it was sooooooo good! - 5/10/08

I followed this recipe but took the advice of others and used tomato sauce instead of ketcup. I also added some shredded carrots to have veges. This too was my first time not using manwich from the can. Yum yum. - 4/11/10

Easy and tasty, I used tomato sauce also. To make it quicker, I used frozen chopped peppers and onions. - 1/18/11

Five stars because my husband loved it. I thought it was just a touch sweet, but he said it was light, delicious and didn't leave an acid taste. He even said it was better than that brand in a can! Thank you for sharing! - 11/2/13

It was OK, but I think it would have tasted a lot better without the brown sugar. Too sweet IMHO. - 8/17/13

It was pretty good and I will definitely make this again! I made some changes though. I used the no salt added tomato sauce to reduce the sodium. I also cut the olive oil in half and added 3 TBSP of Flax seed for the Omega 3 and Fiber. I only had dehydrated onion, I'd rather have used fresh. - 10/18/12

Use less oil, sugar and Heinz low sugar ketchup and 92% lean turkey. - 7/13/12

I made this recipe for my boyfriend and I. I have never made sloppy joes before and this was a hit. My boyfriend ate all the leftovers. I've never seen food disappear so fast. I did use tomatoe sauce instead of the ketchup like many other. It was delicious. It has already been requested again. - 5/11/12

maybe shouldn't rate with 5 stars b/c I didn't follow this exactly. I subbed the ketchup with tomato sauce. I did use 2 lbs meat so I added 4 tbsp ketchup, and 3 tbsp bbq sauce. Didn't add brown sugar. It rocked! Can't wait til supper tonight for the leftovers. - 5/3/12

Yummy! I used tomato sauce as others recommended. I also cut some of the amounts of ingredients to taste, but I will for sure be making this again! Very tasty and satisfying! - 5/8/11

What a good recipe!! A great way to include ground turkey, and my boyfriend said that my sloppys were better than his mom's ha! Definitely try it :) - 2/4/11

This was sooo yummy. I pureed the onions and mixed 1/2 and 1/2 of ketchup and tomato sauce and it was much more flavorful and sweet. My daughter who normally doesn't like ground turkey kept stealing extra bites from my plate! I had the leftovers in a whole wheat pita with lots of fresh veggies! - 5/7/10

I used the tomato sauce instead of ketchup suggestion, and these were really good! We enjoyed them very much and will most likely make them again. - 10/21/08

I only rated these as good since I will ahve to do a little tweeking for my family. I put too many onions in it this first time... lesson learned!

But overall these were well received! And caming from a family that usually will only eat Manwich sloppy joes, Everyone gobbled them up! - 10/6/08

This was wonderful I've been looking for a good recipe to make my own sloppy joes and this one is perfect. Not to sweet with just a little hint of a kick to it. My parents were visiting and they had the leftovers and liked it. Defiantly making this again thanks. - 7/23/08

The whole family enjoyed this. I took the advice of other reviewers and cut the Worchestershire and chili powder. They wouldn't have even know it was turkey if I hadn't told them. - 6/9/08

I only used 1t of chili powder (chipotle) as my kids were eating it. I only used 1T of Worcestershire for the same reason. This was really good and we'll definitely be making it again. - 5/2/08

This was very good! I forgot I was eating ground turkey instead of beef. I would go a little lighter on the worcestershire sauce next time. maybe 1.5 or even 1 tbsp. But, I will definitely make again. - 1/11/08
