Beer Braised Chicken & Black Bean Soup (Slow Cooker)

24 oz lager beer, Samuel Adams Boston Lager3 cups water1 tbsp chopped chipotle Chilies in adobo sauce1 tbsp adobo sauce1 tsp ground cumin1 large onion chopped1 pound dried black beans rinsed1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs.5 tsp sea salt.5 cup fat free sour cream.25 cup chopped fresh cilantro
Makes 6 servings.
In the bowl of a 6 qt slow coooker, combine all ingredients except the sour cream and cilantro. Set the slow cooker to high and cooked covered for 4 to 5.5 hours until the beans are tender and chicken easily pulls apart. Using a fork, shred the chicken into large pieces. Divide among bowls and top with the sour cream and cilantro.
For baking, preheat oven to 300 degrees and bake covered for about 4 hours.
