Ingredients
Directions
about 1/6 of a large container of frozen orange juice concentrate (maybe 2 tablespoons at most)3 cups of water, cold from the tap2 tablespoons or less of raw sugar or honey1 teaspoon good pure vanilla extract12 or so FROZEN strawberries.
In a blender add the water and orange juice to the container. Blend well. Leave blender on.
Add sugar and vanilla.
One at a time add the strawberries (the kids take turns adding berries) UNTIL the mixture thickens and becomes like a smoothie. Stop blender.
Serve immediately or freeze in popsicle molds for the next day.
Can add yogurt if want. Other berries work and so do other fruit juices. If you use juice and not concentrate, reduce water proportionately.
Can add bananas to make more of a snack or meal instead of a treat or summer drink.
Makes 6 3/4 cup servings.
