Whole wheat Chocolate Chip Cookie

Ingredients
3/4 cup granulated sugar3/4 cup packed brown sugar1 cup unsweetened applesauce1 tsp vanilla1 large egg2 1/4 cups whole wheat flour1 tsp baking soda1/2 tsp salt12 oz milk chocolate chips (2 cup)
Directions
Heat oven to 375
In large bown stir sugars, applesauce, vanilla and egg until well blended. Add dry ingredients and stir in chocolate chips. Batter should be stiff, if it isn't add a little more whole wheat flour.
On greased cookie sheet by rounded tsp about 2 inches apart. Bake 375 10 minutes or until light brown. Centers will be soft. Cool slightly then remove from cookie sheet and place on cooling rack. Makes about 5 dozen
