Very moist. I use ritz crackers instead of bread crumbs, and don't cook catsup or worcestershire sauce into it. The crackers boost the flavor in a way that's hard to describe. Even my former mother in law, who ran a catering business, was in love. The leftovers make great sandwiches too! - 10/25/13

The calories are wrong. You only counted 1 egg, 1 slice of bread, and 1 lb of meat. I redid the calories using 100% whole wheat bread, 1 lb of 93/7 ground beef, and 1 lb of 99% fat free ground chicken and the calories were a little over 400 for 4 servings. Other than that it was tasty. - 1/28/09

This is a great recipe. I've been making meatloaf with this recipe for my entire married life...44 years. I've got to say, though, that I would dispute the calorie count for this recipe. If you use 90% lean ground beef, the calories would be closer to 500 per serv, if this is a 4 serv. recipe. - 1/22/09
