Gina's Authentic Italian Marinara Sauce
- Number of Servings: 7
Ingredients
Directions
1 29-32 oz can Crushed or Pureed Tomatoes1 6 oz can Tomato Paste1 cup Water2 Medium Tomatoes, diced1 Medium Sweet (Vidalia) Onion, diced.5 cup Parmesan Cheese.15 cup Garlic, minced (or pre-canned)Seasonings: (all to taste)ParsleyOreganoBasilBlack PepperSaltRosemary
Combine all ingredients in a large sauce bowl over low heat.
Season to taste with listed seasonings, and add some of your own if you are feeling saucy:)
How long you let it cook is also up to your tastes:
I prefer a chunky, fresh sauce, so mine only cooks long enough to get hot.
Let it marinate as long as you please, stirring every few minutes. Place a lid over the sauce to keep from spraying (it will if you don't stir it enough)
Serve over pasta, or any other italian dish:)
