Ingredients
15 oz canned salmon (or tuna) - you can use one large can or two small (7.5 oz) cans1 cup finely chopped onions2 eggs, beaten1 1/2 cups ground oats (very easy- just put some oatmeal in your blender. This is much healthier than bread crumbs)1 cup tomato sauce
Directions
Pre-heat oven to 450 degrees (Note: these can also be easily cooked outside on the grill)
Drain the salmon (or tuna). Add to a bowl and mash.
Add eggs (beat in a separate bowl first)
Add onion, tomato sauce, and ground oats
Mix well
Spray a baking sheet with nonstick spray
Put in oven for 15-20 min. Check to see if they are browning and strong enough to flip over with a spatula. Turn them and wait another 5-10 min.

I like to serve these on top of a bed of quinoa. You can also serve with rice or pasta.... or on a bun with lettuce and tomato! This recipe makes about 10 patties. They are very easy to reheat in the microwave for leftovers.

I loved burgers. Made easily in food processor and used 1/3 c. measure for burgers. Had to substitute minced onion flakes for onion. - 2/24/08
